Well folks, it's the end of the drive season for the 280Z.

The clutch master is dead! I got stranded Saturday night at a stop light when I couldn't shove it into gear anymore. I knew it was going to be sketchy when I barely got it into reverse to leave the bar I was at.

I've order a whole new set from Zcarsource. But this late in the year I'm just going to put it up for the winter. Plus, it's time to start tearing into my rusty cancer. I've got a number of places to fix luckily nothing structural... that I've found. Also time to get a Hobart 140 MIG welder.

Picture below is the day I got it in Macon, Ga. Drove it home 495 miles with only a blown alternator bearing. It provided me a full summer of drive fun.

Winter is a great season for Z owners! Forces us to stop driving long enough to do some fun work and upgrades in anticipation of the next track and cruise season. Also has gift-exchanging holidays which can help with gathering parts. Have fun!

Shame it has to go away for the winter! I'm going to be putting mine up probably at the beginning of December. It's already struggling to start with the cold weather we've had recently haha

Show me what rust and stuff you repair. I'm hoping this winter to do a few body repairs on mine such as the front and rear frame rails.

Will do! I was poking around yesterday and found two new areas to repair. :(
